All members of the NSERC HI-AM Network as well as researchers from outside the Network are invited to submit their abstracts for presentation at HI-AM 2023. The Conference is scheduled for June 27-28, 2023 in Halifax, NS.

Presentation file submission deadline	N/A	Presenters should bring their presentation file on a USB drive and upload it to the conference room laptop before the start of their assigned session.
Full paper submission deadline (only for HI-AM HQP)	June 26, 2023	Full paper is expected for both poster and oral presentations.

Submission Guides

Note: Before starting the submission process, please review the following important information:

Abstracts

• Abstracts must be related to the field of Metal Additive Manufacturing, and closely align with at least one of the Conference Themes.
• Abstracts should be maximum 200 words.
• Abstracts must be submitted via the submission tool (available from the link at the top of the page).
• The submitted abstracts will be evaluated and ranked by the Scientific Advisory Committee of HI-AM 2023.
• The accepted abstracts will be presented in one of the following formats:
  • Oral: 15 minutes presentation followed by 5 minutes Q&A.
  • Poster: Poster viewing times will be announced.
• Authors may request their abstracts to be only considered for poster presentation at the time of submission. If you do not choose the poster presentation option, your abstract will be selected for either oral or poster presentation based on the score, available space, and balance of the conference program.
• Authors will receive notification regarding acceptance or rejection of their abstracts by email on March 1, 2023. If your abstract is accepted, you will be informed whether it is accepted as an oral or a poster presentation.

Oral Presentations

• The presenting authors must be registered for the conference by May 1, 2023, otherwise their presentation will be removed from the conference program.
• The presentations are 15 minutes long followed by a 5-minute Q&A.
• Please bring your presentation file on a memory stick and upload it to the conference room laptop before the session starts.
• All presenters are encouraged to use the HI-AM PowerPoint Template.

Posters

• The presenting authors must be registered for the conference by May 1, 2023, otherwise their presentation will be removed from the conference program.
• The poster dimensions must be 45” (w) in 36” (H).
• If you would like us to print your poster, please submit your final poster PowerPoint slide via the submission tool (available from the link at the top of the page) by June 1, 2023. If we do not receive your poster slide by this deadline you will be responsible for printing and transporting your poster.
• Posters will be available for viewing throughout the event. For dedicated poster viewing times, view the Conference Program.
• All presenters are encouraged to use the HI-AM Poster Template.

Full Manuscripts

• HI-AM 2023 will not publish any proceedings. The accepted abstracts will be published in the conference information package.
• Presenters who are members of the NSERC HI-AM Network are required to submit a full manuscript by the conference start date. Please note that a full paper for poster presentations is also expected.
• Please only use the HI-AM Manuscript Template to prepare your paper. Other formats will not be accepted.
