Call for Abstracts
All academic and industrial members of the NSERC HI-AM Network as well as the non-members are invited to submit their abstracts for presentation at HI-AM 2021. The conference will be virtual this year, held on June 1 & 2, 2021.

Submission Information
Note: Before starting the submission process, please review the following important information:
- Abstracts must be related to the field of Metal Additive Manufacturing, and closely align with at least one of the Conference Themes.
- Abstracts should be maximum 200 words.
- Abstracts must be submitted via the submission tool (available from the link at the bottom of the page).
- The submitted abstracts will be evaluated and ranked by the Scientific Advisory Committee of HI-AM 2021.
- The accepted abstracts will be presented in one of the following formats:
- Verbal: 15 minutes pre-recorded presentation followed by 5 minutes Q&A (chat). Presentation videos will remain available for viewing after the assigned presentation time ends.
- Poster: Digital posters scheduled for display in one of the poster sessions. Posters will remain available for viewing after the poster session ends.
- Authors may request their abstracts to be only considered for poster presentation at the time of submission. If you do not choose the poster presentation option, your abstract will be selected for either verbal or poster presentation based on the score, available space, and balance of the conference program.
- Authors will receive notification regarding acceptance or rejection of their abstracts by email on March 1, 2021. If your abstract is accepted, you will be informed whether it is accepted as a verbal or a poster presentation.
- If your abstract is accepted for presentation, you must submit your pre-recorded presentation or poster via the submission tool by May 1, 2021. For presentation preparation guidelines and templates, please view this page.
- If your abstract is accepted for presentation, the presenting author must be registered for the conference by May 1, 2021 otherwise the presentation will be removed from the conference program.
- HI-AM 2021 will not publish any proceedings. The accepted abstracts will be published in the conference information package.
- Only members of the NSERC HI-AM Network should submit a full manuscript by May 31, 2021.
